Let's Celebrate

September 29, 2017

September is both mine and Ginger's birthday month. This scholarship was established one year ago this month. Thanks to your wonderful support we're over halfway to the threshold of being able to begin awarding scholarships. What a wonderful birthday gift it would be to fully fund the scholarship this year. Remember that funds will assist full time students at FHU who are special education majors. Let's work together to make this happen and allow the legacy Ginger has left to young people who are committed to making a difference in the lives of young students. God bless you as you consider a birthday gift.

Thank You - Happy Holidays!

December 16, 2016

Just a quick thank you to all who have donated to the Ginger Harris Young Endowed Scholarship. Hoping you have a wonderful time with family and friends during this holiday season. If you or someone you know is looking for a meaningful opportunity as year-end donations are being considered, I hope this will be at the top of your list. You can make a life-long difference for a student majoring in special education at Freed-Hardeman University.  At the same time, you’ll be honoring Ginger who dedicated her life to teaching young people many of whom have become fellow educators.

The online giving site has been made live starting today through December 31.

Thank you and God bless you and yours in the New Year,

Clay Young

Great Article About Ginger Young

October 24, 2016

For anyone who has ever worked with Ginger or was a student receiving her help,  it was obvious that Ginger took her work seriously and gave it her all, everyday, for every person.

But even for people who did not work with Ginger on a daily basis, it was easy for them to realize how special Ginger was.

Here is a link to an excellent article that was written by John Dysart, a consultant who worked with FHU for several years, regarding the life-changing work in which Ginger was engaged.
